THE LINCOLN Corsair VS. THE COMPETITION

See How the New Lincoln Corsair Stacks Up Against Its Competitors

Looking for a smooth-riding luxury SUV that's peppy and efficient? The new Lincoln Corsair has a posh interior, tons of standard tech features, and muscular, efficient engine options. Other small luxury SUVs such as the new Lexus NX and Cadillac XT4 are also loaded with amenities but don't perform as well as the Lincoln Corsair. Beau Townsend Lincoln of Dayton developed the following comparisons for further explanation.

Performance

Engine Power and Acceleration

You'll want an SUV with plenty of zip for easy passing on I-70 in Vandalia, OH. The new Lincoln Corsair comes standard with a turbocharged 250-horsepower four-cylinder engine, and a 266-horsepower plug-in hybrid powertrain is available. Both powerplants provide snappy acceleration around town and on the highway.

The new Lexus NX comes with a 203-horsepower four-cylinder engine that lacks the ideal get-up-and-go for passing on the highway or merging onto the freeway. A turbocharged 275-horsepower motor is available, but you must pay more for a higher trim to get it.

The new Cadillac XT4 is only available with a turbocharged 235-horsepower four-cylinder engine. This motor is sluggish for highway driving, and it can be noisy at times.

Ride and Handling

You'll enjoy a buttery ride in the new Lincoln Corsair thanks to its well-tuned four-wheel independent suspension. Its responsive steering and refined chassis make it a joy to drive on twisty roads in Troy, OH.

The new Lexus NX also has a plush ride, but it lacks enough steering feedback or agility to feel sporty.

The new Cadillac XT4 has a fairly comfortable ride over smooth pavement, but a shaky ride over road imperfections. Its light steering makes it not very engaging to drive.

Fuel Economy

The base Lincoln Corsair Standard trim earns a respectable 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway in front-wheel drive models. Vandalia drivers who want to make fewer stops for gas will want the Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring model. Its plug-in hybrid powertrain returns 78 MPG-equivalent, and it can go 28 miles solely on electric power.

The new Lexus NX earns 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway in its most fuel-efficient configuration. The NX is not available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain.

The new Cadillac XT4 returns 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway with its most efficient setup. It also doesn't offer a plug-in hybrid engine.

Interior

Cargo Space

You need a roomy cargo hold in your SUV to fit all your shopping bags from the Pinewood Plaza Shopping Center in Dayton. The new Lincoln Corsair has 27.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 57.6 cubic feet of room with the back seats folded down.

The new Lexus NX only has 22.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 46.9 cubic feet of room with those seats folded.

The new Cadillac XT4 has just 22.5 cubic feet of cargo room behind the back seats and 48.9 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.

Standard Infotainment System

It's a cinch to run the new Lincoln Corsair's SYNC 4 infotainment system while you're cruising through Troy, OH. Its standard 13.2-inch touchscreen has clear graphics and intuitive menus. It also provides support for Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa.

The new Lexus NX's standard infotainment touchscreen is only 9.8 inches long. It does not offer Amazon Alexa connectivity.

The new Cadillac XT4 only comes with an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen. Amazon Alexa integration is not available.

The new Lincoln Corsair is a refined compact luxury SUV with smooth, efficient performance and a wealth of standard tech features. Visit Beau Townsend Lincoln of Dayton and test drive your favorite Lincoln Corsair trim today.
